Compassion after Hate, an evening with Arno Michaelis and Pardeep Kaleka – Newtown, CT
October 29, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
On Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 6:00pm, the Avielle Foundation will host an intimate evening with two remarkable people, Arno Michaelis and Pardeep Kaleka, the founders of Serve 2 Unite. The event will be held at the Parent Connection/Avielle Foundation building in Newtown, CT.
The evening’s theme is finding compassion after hate. In 2012, a member of the hate group Arno started opened fire in a Sikh temple, killing six people before turning the gun on himself. Pardeep’s father was one of the people killed. Pardeep reached out to Arno shortly after the shooting, and the two have formed a close friendship.
The event is free of charge, but seating is limited; please register early. Register to attend here.
Wine, beer and light fare will be served.
