9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Chicken Barbecue Fundraiser to Build Griswold, CT 9/11 Memorial – Griswold, CT

A chicken barbecue will take place from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the Griswold Fire Department on Route 138 in Pachaug, CT.
Tickets cost $10.00, and all profits will benefit the memorial fund.
The proposed Griswold 9/11 Memorial will consist of two tall gray granite columns, representing the World Trade Center towers, with a granite pentagon between them. Carved into the pentagon will be the words “Never forget September 11, 2001.” Four granite benches will surround the columns and pentagon, with a flagpole behind them.
The memorial was designed by a committee of 16 schoolchildren.
A dedication is planned for September 11, 2019.
