Carnegie Hall Concert to benefit Saint Nicholas Church and National Shrine

October 10, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

At 8:00pm on Thursday, October 10, 2019, a concert will be held at Carnegie Hall to benefit the rebuilding efforts for the Saint Nicholas Church and National Shrine in Lower Manhattan.

Yiannis Hadjiloizou will conduct the Athens Philharmonic in a performance of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, commonly referred to as The Resurrection Symphony. Also played will be Michael Hadjiloizou’s Act II Interlude from 9th of July 1821 – The Song of Kyprianos; and Yiannis Hadjiloizou’s Cyprus Dance No. 1, Servikos.

St. Nicholas was the only religious building destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. Its rebuilding has been fraught with difficulties.

Ticket prices range from $25.00 to $105.00. Seats are selling quickly. For tickets, please call Carnegiecharge at 212-247-7800 or visit their website here.

All proceeds realized from the concert will go toward the rebuilding of the Shrine.
