Carl Vincent Bini was a firefighter with the FDNY’s elite Rescue 5 in Staten Island, who was killed while responding to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He loved Staten Island. The foundation in his name helps Staten Islanders in many ways, among them Carl’s House, a resource for addicts and their families, and Hurricane Sandy relief.
