9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Captain Martin J. Egan 5-K Memorial Run/Walk

This year’s Captain Martin J. Egan 5-K Memorial Run will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 10:00am. Please gather at the Midland Beach picnic area on Midland Beach, Staten Island. Participants can register on race day from 8:00am to 9:00am. The day’s events will include a free children’s fun run with medals awarded to all participants.

Pre-race registration and t-shirt pick-up will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at the Grant City Tavern on Fremont and South Railroad Avenues.
The fee to run is $20.00 if registering in advance and $25.00 on race day. Proceeds from the run will benefit the Captain Martin J. Egan Memorial Fund, which grants an annual scholarship to a student from St. Clare’s School on Staten Island so that he or she can attend Monsignor Farrell High School.
Captain Egan was 36, a father of two and a newly-promoted captain in the FDNY when he was killed in the line of duty during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
