Captain James Corrigan Memorial Foundation Fundraiser
September 29, 2012 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Captain James Corrigan Memorial Foundation (the CJCMF) honors FDNY Captain James Corrigan (retired) by assisting the families of seriously ill children – the child of a Long Island area firefighter and the child of a Long Island area civilian. Last year (its first year of operation), the foundation was able to help two little girls with cancer.
The 2012 fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Bungalow Bar in Far Rockaway from 2:00pm-6:00pm. The CJCMF is still seeking a civilian family with an ill child who can become the foundation’s second beneficiary this year. The Fire Department child is Aidan Crowley, son of FDNY Firefighter John Crowley. Aiden was born with the rare heart defect Double Inlet Left Ventricle (DILV) and needs at least two more heart surgeries.
For more information about the foundation or to submit information about a child in need, contact Brendan Corrigan at captcorriganfoundation@gmail.com or refer to the CJCMF Facebook page.
