Brooke Jackman Foundation Read-A-Thon

September 8, 2012 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

The third annual Brooke Jackman Foundation Read-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from noon to 1:30pm in the Winter Garden. Guest readers will bring the joy and power of books to area children.

Brooke Jackman was 23 years old and about to go back to school to study social work to help children when she was murdered by terrorists at Cantor Fitzgerald on September 11, 2001. She was a passionate reader and her love of children and books inspired her family to begin the foundation in her name. BJF has established 4 children’s libraries and donated books and school supplies to families in need.
