9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Brooke Jackman Foundation Race for Literacy – Oyster Bay, NY

Help support children’s literacy with the Brooke Jackman Foundation’s 14th annual Race for Literacy, a 5-K run/walk, which will be held this year on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The Run will begin at the Brooke Jackman Reading Garden at the Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School in Oyster Bay, at 9:30am. The Children’s Fun Run activities will start at 8:45am, with the Fun Run itself at 9:00am sharp.
This fun family day includes yoga stretches, refreshments, face painting, tattoos, yoga, hula hoops, and a ¼-mile Fun Run for kids ages 8 and under, with prizes for all.
To participate in the 5-K Run/Walk will cost $20.00 for those pre-registered by May 17, 2019 or $25.00 on race day. Students under age 18 participate for $10.00. The children’s Fun Run is free. To register, please click here.

Brooke Jackman was killed in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center at the age of 23. The Foundation’s mission is to honor Brooke’s legacy – a deep love of reading and a profound interest in helping children.
