The fifth anniversary of the bombing of the finish line of the Boston Marathon will be marked with simultaneous wreath-layings at the site of the two bombs.Though the bombs went off at 2:49pm, the ceremony will be held at 8:00am on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
The Mayor of Boston will join the families of Lingzi Liu and Martin Richard to lay a wreath at 755 Boylston Street, while the family of Krystle Campbell will accompany the Governor of Massachusetts at 671 Boylston Street.
Immediately after the wreath-layings, the families will join survivors of the attack in a ceremony inside the Boston Public Library.
