Bone Marrow Drive for retired FDNY Firefighter Brian Kevan – Sayville, NY still seems to be on

Happily, Brian Kevan, 52, a retired FDNY firefighter with World Trade Center-related lymphoma, has found a bone marrow donor and had a successful transplant.
It looks as if the bone marrow drive at the Community Ambulance Company in Sayville is still set for Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11:00am until 2:00pm. To join the Be The Match Registry, please go to Join.bethematch.org/NYBC.
Testing for a bone marrow match involves only a simple cheek swab. Many people are very ill with only a match to save them.
Anyone aged 18-40 in good health is eligible to be added to the bone marrow donor registry.
