Blood & Bone Marrow Drive for Kara Frasse
January 27, 2016 @ 3:30 pm - 9:30 pm
There will be a bone marrow and blood drive for Kara Frasse from 3:30pm to 9:30pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Unqua Elementary School cafeteria in Massapequa.
Kara Frasse, wife of the late NYPD Detective Adam Frasse, was diagnosed with lymphoma in October 2015. She is undergoing chemotherapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering and will need a bone marrow transplant.
Detective Frasse was in a coma from the time of his massive heart attack in 2009 until his death in May of 2014. The Frasses have two young sons.
Anyone between the ages of 18 through 44 can be added to the Be the Match Registry at the drive, through either a mouth swab or blood test. Even if you are not a match for Kara you may be able to help cure someone else.
If you are unable to go to the January 27 drive, please visit Be the Match.
