Benefit for Firefighter Chuck Jones

October 13, 2012 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

On Saturday, October 13, 2012 there will be a fundraiser for FF Chuck Jones of Ladder 165 at Mulcahy’s Pub in Wantagh from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Admission is $60.00, which includes food, beverages, a 50/50, raffles and a live auction.

Chuck, a member of FDNY Ladder Company 165 for over 20 years, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in June. Prior to joining the FDNY, he served as an officer with the NYPD. Currently Chuck lives with his wife and their 3 children in Sayville, where he is a very active member of the community.

As a result of this illness, Chuck will require care and treatment for the rest of his life. He is currently at the beginning of a long battle, with a very uncertain future. One this that is certain, however, is that this disease will present Chuck and his family unforeseen economic hardships. The Sleepless Knights, the men of his firehouse, are doing everything possible to help him.

Checks can be mailed to the firehouse address below. For more information or to make an online donation, please click here. Please make checks out to “317 Commission Fund”.
