9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. BC Joseph Grzelak Bowl-a-thon

March 30, 2014

The twelfth annual BC Joseph Grzelak Bowl-a-thon will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Rab’s County Lanes in Staten Island. The time will be announced.

There are a wide variety of packages to bowl, ranging from an individual bowling, lunch and refreshments package for $65.00 to the “All Hands Package” which includes 2 lanes, up to 10 bowlers and signage for $675.00.  To attend without bowling is $50.00. There is a family of four discount for two adults and two children as well. All proceeds benefit the Joseph Grzelak Memorial Fund.

Battalion Chief Joseph Grzelak’s nickname was “Joe Knows” because of his tremendous knowledge of matters on the fireground and off it. Because of his belief in the power and importance of knowledge, the Joseph Grzelak Memorial Fund benefits the children of FDNY members entering college.
