9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. “Autism Awareness for the First Responder” from the Lt. Gregg Atlas Foundation

The Lt. Gregg Atlas Foundation has funded a program entitled Autism Awareness for the First Responder, intended for law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and dispatchers. People with ASD are seven times more likely to encounter emergency personnel than those without it. These encounters can be dangerous. This program will teach de-escalation techniques, sensory issues, communications issues and arrest and security issues.

The event wil be held at the Center for Discovery (Michael Ritchie Big Barn Center) in Hurleyville, NY from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. To register for the program, please call Scott at 845-707-8588 or email him at sedwards@tcfd.org.

Please arrive by 5:30pm. Refreshments will be available.

FDNY Lieutenant Gregg Atlas was killed responding to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center. The foundation in his name works to help autistic children. To learn more, please click here.
