9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Applications are being accepted for the LeRoy W. Homer, Jr. Foundation Scholarship from October 31, 2020 until January 31, 2021.
LeRoy Homer was the First Officer of United Flight 93 on the morning of September 11, 2001 when terrorists hijacked his plane.
The scholarship in his memory assists those US citizens between the ages of 16 and 23 who are studying to become pilots on their own and not as part of a college or university program.
