9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. “A Conversation on 9/11” – Kew Gardens, NY

At 10:00am on Saturday, September 8, 2018, Friends of Maple Grove will host a community discussion entitled A Conversation on 9/11.

This year’s participants will read a 1906 article by William James about the lasting emotional effects survivors of the San Francisco earthquake experienced.

A moderated talk will follow comparing the 1906 survivors to survivors of the terrorist attacks of 2001.

A visit to Maple Grove Cemetery and the graves of 23 people killed in the 9/11 attacks will follow the talk.
