9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. 9/11 Widow Melodie Homer to Speak, Charleston, SC

Melodie Homer will speak during a remembrance ceremony aboard the USS YORKTOWN at 10:00am on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Patriots Point in the Smokey Stover Theater.

Homer, the widow of Flight 93 co-pilot LeRoy Homer, will later join a panel discussion entitled Changes in Airport and In-Flight Security Since 9/11 with Jim Peacher, Manager of Airport Security, Charleston County Aviation Authority, Bill New, Deputy Director, Charleston County Aviation Authority.

There will also be a video about Flight 93.

The morning’s events will conclude with a commemorative wreath-laying ito Charleston Harbor.

Admission to the museum will be free from 9:30am to 10:30am, though a $5.00 parking fee will still apply.
