9/11 Pentagon survivor Charles Metcalf to speak

Charles “Charley” Metcalf, survivor of the September 11th terrorist attack on the Pentagon, will deliver the keynote address at the 44th annual Frank Church Symposium at Idaho State University’s Stephens Performing Arts Center. This year’s symposium theme is Cross-Cultural Expression in a Transforming World. Metcalf’s talk is entitled Cross-Cultural Expression from a National Security Communication Perspective.
The annual symposium is held to honor of Idaho Sen. Frank Church, who was the chairman of the U.S. Committee on Foreign Relations during the Vietnam War.
Metcalf, a Vietnam veteran, and former Department of Defense employee, has a lifelong interest in national security.
