9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, Greensboro, NC

Greensboro Fire Department will host their third annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at 9:00am on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Bellemeade Parking Deck. The stair climb honors the 343 firefighters and 72 police officers who were murdered during the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center.
People can walk the steps of the deck nine times, the equivalent of 73 flights of stairs, roughly equivalent to 78 floors — the highest known floor New York Fire Department firefighters reached on the day of the terrorist attack.
Registration will start at 7:30am on the day of the stair climb. Participants can buy a commemorative t-shirt for $10.00. Donations will also be accepted for the Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program.
