9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. 9/11 National Day of Service Family Volunteer Day – Fairfax, VA
September 11, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Families, join Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm for a volunteer event honoring those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Volunteers will prepare “You’ve Got This” gift baskets filled with school supplies, tea, coffee, chocolates, etc. for distribution to teachers in Title 1/low-resource schools.
Event attendees will be asked to donate one or more items for the baskets. Information will be shared closer to the event date.
The event will take place outside, weather permitting, and is part of Volunteer Fairfax’s VolunteerFest and the 9/11 National Day of Service.
Organizers also need sponsors and gift cards (Target, Giant, Safeway, etc.) or monetary donations to offset the supply costs.
