9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb – Akron, OH

In remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the University of Akron will hold a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in InfoCision Stadium on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Climbing begins at 8:46am, exactly twenty years after the moment hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
Participants are asked to check in from 7:30am through 8:00am.
Registration is open, and will remain open until Friday, September 3, 2021. The fee to enter is $30.00 (with service fee). Proceeds raised from the climb will benefit the Safety Forces Support Center, which helps EMS, police and firefighters in Akron.
