9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for FDNY Firefighter Michael J. Katz, E-24

Active-duty FDNY Firefighter Michael J. Katz of E-24 died while off duty on September 18, 2021. Firefighter Katz served New York City for 17 years.
His wake will be held from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm until 9:00pm on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Matthew’s Funeral Home in Staten Island.
Firefighter Katz’s funeral service will take place at Matthew’s Funeral Home in Staten Island at 10:30am on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
A private cremation will follow the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Firefighter Katz can be made to the FDNY Fire Family Transport Foundation.
