9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Heather Pendergast Fund Golf Outing

The 6th annual Heather Pendergast Fund Golf Outing will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Woodside Acres Country Club in Muttontown, NY. Breakfast begins at 8:30am with a 10:00am shotgun start.

This year’s honoree will be Dr. Jeffrey M. Lipton of the Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York.

The fee to participate is $190.00, which includes golf, cart, breakfast, lunch and dinner with open bar. The fee to attend only the dinner is $75.00. All proceeds will benefit the Heather Pendergast Fund, which assists sick children of volunteer firefighters on Long Island.

Heather Pendergast, the daughter of a Long Island volunteer fireman, was diagnosed with Shwachman-Diamond syndrome (SDS) and later with cancer. Her long and courageous battle with her illnesses was lost on October 30, 2008.
