Jeff Giordano, a decorated FDNY firefighter, husband and father of three, was also an avid runner. He was the Vice President of the New York Firefighters’ Burn Center Foundation and was instrumental in creating the Children’s Playroom at the Cornell Burn Center which was named for him after he was killed in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.
Contributions to Jeff’s Run and other activities have enabled the FF Jeff Giordano Children’s Playroom to implement many programs to aid children with burn injuries. Activities such as Dances with Wood, art and music therapy, CampPhoenix and burn survivor support groups have helped many burned children.
