Screenings of Zero Dark Thirty for 9/11 Families – LA, DC, NYC & Boston

Columbia Pictures and Annapurna Pictures are working with the Oscar-winning team behind The Hurt Locker, Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal, on Zero Dark Thirty, a film that tells the story of the 10-year manhunt to find Osama bin Laden. Created from meticulous research, the film highlights the role of the brave men and women who worked tirelessly on this effort.
Fundamentally, the film was borne out of the tragedy on September 11, a day that left an indelible mark on many Americans, but none more so than the families of those who lost their lives and those injured. While Zero Dark Thirty tells the story of how America brought the mastermind behind 9/11 to justice, the filmmakers recognize that this remains a delicate and painful subject for those who lost so much on that tragic day.
On behalf of the Kathryn and Mark, we’d like to invite you to a private screening to see the film before its official release. We hope you will find it a tribute to the countless Americans who labored for more than a decade to seek justice for all those harmed by bin Laden. Please see below for information on screening we are hosting for 9/11 families in four cities.
Please be advised: While the film does not include images of 9/11, it does have a very graphic opening montage of audio recordings of the day, including the voices of people who perished. There are also graphic depictions of other terrorist attacks, including the London transportation bombings of 2005.
