9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Celebration of Life for Sherry E. Showalter – Largo, FL

Sherry E. Showalter, Ph.D., LCSW, BCD, M.Msc., died on November 23, 2022 at the age of 68. Dr. Showalter was a psychotherapist, working with hospices.
Her obituary states that she responded to the Pentagon during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, though it isn’t clear with which agency she worked.
Her wife, Bunny, and other members of her family will hold a Celebration of Life in Sherry’s honor from 11:00am-2:00pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo, FL. In acknowledgement of the butterfly garden Sherry created, a butterfly release will be held at 1:45pm. Bunny asks that all attendees wear their brightest attire.
