9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Honor Elizabeth Wainio Memorial Fundraiser – Baltimore, MD

The annual Honor Elizabeth Wainio Memorial Fundraiser will be held at Baltimore’s Ropewalk Tavern from 2:00pm until 6:00pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 – what would have been Lizz’s 49th birthday.

Honor Elizabeth “Lizz” Wainio was 27 when she boarded United Flight 93 – the flight on which the 40 brave people aboard the hijacked plane fought back against the terrorists during the 9/11 attacks.
Lizz majored in communications at Towson University and loved the school. Since 2005, more than $180,000 has been awarded to deserving Towson students through the Honor Elizabeth Wainio ’95 Memorial Communications Scholarship.
