9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. FDNY FF Michael Kiefer Memorial Swim, Paddle, Run

The FDNY FF Michael Kiefer Memorial Swim, Paddle, Run will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Registration starts at 7:30am, with the event beginning at 8:45am with a 150-yard run to the swim entry point at Long Beach’s National Boulevard Beach. An ocean swim of 400 yards, a 1/2-mile paddle board race and a mile and half run complete the event.
The day will start with a competition for individuals, with a team relay to follow. The race will proceed rain or shine.
FF Michael Kiefer was 25 when he was killed while responding to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 with Ladder 132.
