9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. FDNY Captain Martin J. Egan, Jr. 5-K Memorial Run/Walk

June 5, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The 16th annual Captain Martin J. Egan 5-K Memorial Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 10:00am at the Midland Beach picnic area, located on Lincoln Avenue and Fr. Capadanno Blvd. in Staten Island.

Register early for a reduced pre-registration fee of $20.00 or register on race day for $25.00. All proceeds will benefit the Captain Martin Egan, Jr. Memorial Fund, which funds a scholarship in Marty’s name.

Pre-registration, T-shirt and bib pick-up will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 6:30pm until 9:30pm at Grant City Tavern.

Race day will also feature a free kids’ fun run and other activities for kids, along with food and beverages.

FDNY Captain Martin J. Egan, Jr. grew up in Staten Island’s Midland Beach area. He was a 36-year-old husband and father of two when he was killed responding to the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
