9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Last year, even though the 2020 Casino Night was cancelled, the Joseph Maffeo Foundation still managed to raise more than $100,000 for the construction of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Staten Island University Hospital.
FF Joseph Maffeo of FDNY Ladder 101 was 30 years old and the new father of baby Christopher when he was killed while responding to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
