Funeral for World Trade Center survivor Avel Villanueva, Sun Microsystems

Avel Villanueva died on October 2, 2020 of cancer that was likely World Trade Center-related. He spent years working at Sun Microsystems in Tower 2. On the morning of September 11, 2001, when Tower 1 was hit by Flight 11, Avel searched the 25th & 26th floors for colleagues before exiting the building himself.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Solid Rock Church in the Bronx.
