9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Fundraiser for scholarships for the children of deceased FDNY Firefighter Matt McDevitt

FDNY Firefighter Matt McDevitt died recently at the age of 32 from a rare cancer. A fundraiser to give his children James and Mila scholarships will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 2:00pm until 4:30pm at the Little Gym of Rockville Centre.
At this children’s event, kids can play in the gym together, do some arts and crafts, and raise funds for this grieving family. The Rockville Centre Fire Department will also be on hand so children can see the trucks and have some firefighting fun.

An entrance fee of $25.00 per child is requested. All of the proceeds will go to the scholarship fund. Cash or check made out to “FF Matthew J. McDevitt Children’s Scholarship Fund” will be accepted.
