9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Salute our Veterans 5-K — East Islip, NY
October 20, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Salute our Veterans 5-K will be held at Timber Point Elementary School in East Islip on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Check-in begins at 8:00am; and the run begins at 9:00am. Fruit, water, bagels, and spreads will be available at the event.
The fee to run is $25.00 for adults who register in advance; and $30.00 on race day; and $15.00 for children under 13 in advance; and $20.00 on race day. To register, please click here. Active-duty service personnel run for free with ID. Funds raised benefit 9-1-1 Veterans.
9-1-1 Veterans is a small Long Island based non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to those who have served in any of the branches of the United States military.
The course is flat & fast. The race will be held rain or shine.
