Golf Outing & Dinner to Benefit Roman Ducalo, Jr.
October 12, 2012 @ 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm
A golf outing to benefit little Roman Ducalo, Jr. is set for Friday, October 12, 2012 at LaTourette Golf Course in Staten Island. Roman, whose father is a firefighter, is 20 months old. He was born with a very rare tumor in his chest wall. During the surgery to resect the tumor, the doctors had to remove several ribs, which has compromised Roman’s breathing and lung growth. He relies on nasal oxygen or ventilator support to breathe.
Roman is a happy boy who has had to endure ten surgeries so far, including placement of expandable prosthetic titanium ribs. He will be required to undergo surgeries every three to four months until he stops growing as a young adult.
The golf outing for Roman will cost $200.00 for golf and dinner; $125.00 for golf only and $75.00 for dinner only. Registration begins at noon. The driving range opens at noon as well. The putting contest starts at noon too. The shotgun start is at 1:00pm. Dinner, a Southwestern barbecue, is at 6:00pm. Staten Island Winery will hold a wine tasting event at dinner.
Many prizes will be raffled offf – including Giants tickets and helicopter rides.
RSVP by September 20, 2012. Please visit www.babyromanlittlewarrior.org to learn more.
The Carl Vincent Bini Memorial Foundation is donating the entertainment.
