9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. World Trade Center survivor Bettye Glenn to speak – Weldon, NC

Halifax Community College’s Griffin Centre will welcome World Trade Center survivor Bettye Glenn, who will speak at the first Presidential Lecture Series event of the year on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 11:00am.

Glenn worked for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on the 43rd floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. She lost more than 70 friends and co-workers in the terrorist attacks that day.

She moved to North Carolina upon her retirement.
