9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Steven McDonald Memorial Groundbreaking Ceremony

Ground will be broken for the Steven McDonald Memorial Garden of Forgiveness in Westwood Park on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00am.
NYPD Detective Steven McDonald was paralyzed in a line-of-duty shooting more than 30 years ago. He forgave the teenage gunman and befriended him. He remained a huge support and inspiration to the NYPD for the rest of his life and led the Father Mychal Judge walk annually to remember his friend. He died of complications from the shooting in 2017.
