9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. D.C. Ray Downey “Forever Running” Memorial 5-K Run/Walk

The 11th annual Deputy Chief Ray Downey Forever Running Memorial 5-K Run/Walk will be held on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, 2018. The event starts at 10:00am.
Online registration is available here. Pre-registration should be done by June 15, 2018 and is strongly encouraged. The registration fee for the 5-K is $25.00 for an adult; $15.00 for children (K-12) in advance. Fees on run day will be higher. The Father Child run is also $25.00. This year a virtual run will be held at a cost of $22.00. Funds raised benefit the D.C. Raymond Downey Scholarship Charity Fund.
Deputy Chief Ray Downey, one of the most decorated officers in FDNY history, and an expert in building collapse, was murdered on September 11, 2001 while commanding the Special Operations Command of the Fire Department. The charity in his name supports a number of worthy causes.
The course is fast and flat, and follows D.C. Raymond M. Downey Memorial Road. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned.
