Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament – Mashpee, MA

The 17th annual Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the New Seabury Country Club in Mashpee, MA. Registration will start at 8:00am; opening remarks will be said 9:30am and the tournament begins at 10:00am.

Some of the celebrities participating will be NHL players Keith Tkachuk and Tony Amonte; Harvard head coach Ted Donato; ESPN’s Sean McDonough; Boston comedians Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Don Gavin, and Tony V; and the Bavis family.

Hockey scout Mark Bavis was travelling for the Los Angeles Kings aboard United Flight 175 when terrorists hijacked the plane and flew it into Tower 2 of the World Trade Center during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The identical twin was 31. He believed in helping young people through sports. The Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation continues his legacy.
