9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. First Responders’ Day, Danbury Railway Museum

The Danbury Railway Museum will commemorate the eleventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 by holding a First Responders’ Day on Saturday, September 8, 2012, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and their families will be admitted and may ride the trains at no cost.
There will also be a special exhibit of photographs of the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center. The pictures were taken by members of Redding Fire and EMS Co. 1 and other recovery workers during the aftermath of the attacks in New York City. The photos will be displayed on a continuous loop on televisions inside the museum throughout the day.
