New York City Memorial Stair Climb
July 1, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The fourth annual New York City Memorial Stair Climb will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the 80-story 3 World Trade Center.
Each of the 403 stair climbers will honor one of the 23 NYPD officers, 37 PAPD officers and 343 FDNY firefighters killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Climbers can enter to race and be timed against other climbers individually or as part of a team.
Priority registration opens for members of the FDNY, NYPD and PAPD on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 9:00am EST. General registration opens on Monday, March 18, 2018. To register to climb, please click here.
This year’s beneficiary will be the Ray Pfeifer Foundation. Ray was a tireless fighter for the rights of sick recovery workers despite suffering from stage 4 site-related cancer himself. When Ray died last year, his friends founded the foundation that bears his name to help other sick rescue and recovery workers from the World Trade Center. Climbers are not required to fundraise, but are encouraged to do so.
See the separate listing for the 2018 Battle of the Firehouse Bands (also benefitting the Ray Pfeifer Foundation) on March 10, 2018.
