SSG James McNaughton Tribute
January 27, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The thirteenth annual SSG James McNaughton Tribute will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 1:00pm to 9:00pm at Mulcahy’s Pub & Music Hall in Wantagh, NY.
James “Jimmy” McNaughton was 27 when he became the first NYPD officer to give his life for his country while serving as a soldier in Iraq. A sergeant with the United States Army, he was involved in training the Iraqi Highway Patrol, an assignment for which he volunteered, when he was shot and killed by a sniper on August 2, 2005.
His parents are both NYPD officers. His father, Billy, served at the World Trade Center recovery operation as part of the K-9 unit.
The annual party in Jimmy’s honor includes live music from Plunge and Drop Dead Sexy, raffles, giveaways, drink specials, free food, and more, all for a donation of $20.00. The funds raised will help the James McNaughton Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that donates to the Centereach High School Scholarship fund.
