9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Answer the Call Day – Empire State Building lit for NY Police & Fire Widows & Children’s Benefit Fund

Tonight the Empire State Building will be shining in red and blue in honor of Answer the Call Day.
Answer the Call Day represents the promise our friends at the NY Police & Fire Widows & Children’s Benefit Fund make to the families of fallen firefighters, police officers and EMS personnel that their families will not be forgotten. They support nearly 600 families of the fallen this year, including those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
A new mayoral proclamation also officially proclaims October 5, 2017 as Answer the Call Day.
