Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. US Naval Memorial September 11th Ceremony, Washington, DC

Huntington Ingalls Industries, U.S. Naval Institute and the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation will honor the victims of 9/11 and fallen military heroes with a wreath-laying ceremony led by the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 2002 on the US Naval Memorial’s outdoor plaza.
Also, an exhibit of photographs features USS NEW YORK (LPD-21), the naval ship forged with steel from the World Trade Center towers.
New York-based photographer C.R. Richardson’s work includes dramatic images of the ship, as well as candid shots of the crew and first responders who sailed aboard NEW YORK when she made a triumphant entry into her namesake city for the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

4: 00pm – Wreath-laying Ceremony
4:30pm – USS NEW YORK (LPD 21) photo exhibit and reception
6:00pm – Book release – In the Shadow of Greatness
