9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Fundraiser to honor Nickels, 55 Engine’s Dog

Nickels, a rescue dog who became a beloved member of FDNY Engine 55, has died suddenly. His Engine 55 friends are holding a fundraiser for the Animal Haven Shelter – the shelter that brought Nickels into their lives three years ago — in honor of all the love Nickels gave them.
They hope that donations to the shelter will ensure that more friendships will be born for the animals waiting for homes there.
