9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Mass for Detective Steven McDonald

A Mass for Detective Steven McDonald will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 6:00pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Detective McDonald died on January 10, 2017 of the injuries he sustained when shot in the line of duty thirty years before. McDonald, who was paralyzed from the neck down in the shooting, forgave the teen who shot him and was an inspiration to all.
Please note that the 6:00pm Mass is normally said in the chapel. The entrance to the chapel is through a small door at the extreme left-hand (east) end of the church toward the bottom of the hill.
