Canstruction NYC
November 3, 2016 @ 8:00 am - November 16, 2016 @ 5:00 pm
Once again, 25 sculptures made from cans of food will be exhibited at Brookfield Place (formerly the World Financial Center) in lower Manhattan from Thursday, November 3, 2016 until Wednesday, November 16, 2016 daily (including weekends) from 10:00am to 8:00pm except on the 16th, when the exhibit will close at 6:00pm.
Canstruction feeds the hungry by hosting competitions worldwide. Architects, designers and engineers build elaborate sculptures from cans of food. The sculptures are exhibited to the public, then dismantled and the food is donated, in NY’s case to City Harvest.
Visitors to the exhibit are requested to bring a can of food as the price of admission. The donation bin is located on the center’s second floor above the Vesey Street shops.
