Robin Kaplan Memorial Golf Tournament
August 3, 2016 - August 4, 2016
The annual Robin Kaplan Memorial Golf Tournament will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 and Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Mohegan Sun Golf Club.
The tournament will be played in a scramble format. Each foursome will consist of 3 players and a celebrity.
Funds raised at the golf outing go to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s Camp Oasis, a co-ed residential camp program for children with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Since all of the campers (and most of the adults) at Camp Oasis have these conditions too, the children who attend are surrounded by people who understand the difficulties they face. Robin, who had long suffered from Crohn’s disease, made the camp her special cause.
Robin Kaplan was a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11, while travelling for her job at TJ Maxx on September 11, 2001 when terrorists flew her plane into Tower 1 of the World Trade Center.
