9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Brooke Jackman Race for Literacy

The Brooke Jackman Foundation’s 11th annual Race for Literacy will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School in Oyster Bay, New York.
This is a family event, with fun activities for all ages.
Entry fees for the 5-K Run/Walk are as follows: $20.00 for those adults who register by May 13, 2016; $25.00 for adults registering on the day of the Race; $10.00 for students under age 18. The 1/4-mile Kids’ Fun Run for Future Olympians (8 and under) is free. All funds raised through this event will support the Brook Jackman Foundation’s children literacy programs, including Brooke’s Cooks, Brooke Jackman Family Literacy Program, Brooke Jackman Library Initiative, and Brooke’s Books which benefit children in need through the New York area.

Brooke Jackman always had a book in her hand, and loved children. Her family honors her with the literacy foundation in her name. Brooke was killed in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center while working for Cantor Fitzgerald. She was 23.
