Deadline for recovery workers with site-related prostate cancer
August 18, 2015 @ 8:00 am - October 13, 2015 @ 11:55 pm
Please note that an important deadline for 9/11 first responders who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer is approaching.
Men who worked at the site of the World Trade Center, the Fresh Kills landfill, the morgue, or aboard any of the transport vehicles and who were diagnosed with prostate cancer between September 11, 2005 and September 11, 2013, must register their claims with the Victim Compensation Fund before Wednesday, October 14, 2015.
The WTC Health Program has linked 62 cancers to toxins found in the rubble of the World Trade Center.
Those recovery workers with site-linked cancers diagnosed after September 11, 2013, including prostate cancer, must be registered within two years of the date of their diagnosis.
Please tell your friends and colleagues.
