9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for BC Ed Schoales, FDNY and September 11th family member

Retired FDNY BC Ed Schoales died on the morning of July 15, 2015. He had an exemplary career with the FDNY – he was a firefighter in Engine 85, a lieutenant in Engine 37, a captain in Engine 48 and later Battalion Chief of the 15th Battalion. Chief Schoales lost his son Firefighter Thomas G. Schoales in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
His wake will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point.
His funeral will take place at 10:00am on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point.
